Turning 50 . . .The Regulator’s Perspective on Untapped Resources
Director of Resource Management & Chief Conservation Officer, C-NLOPB
In the last fifty years, the Canada-Newfoundland and Labrador offshore industry has grown to become a major producing region at 250,000 barrels a day, which places us among the top 35 in the world. The industry has met several technical hurdles and is expanding its reach to other areas, such as the Flemish Pass and the Orphan Basin. The C-NLOPB has grown its expertise and continues to strive towards regulatory excellence. Jeff O’Keefe will set the stage for the panel discussion by looking at where we are today and the challenges and opportunities in the future.
