Subsea Processing Technologies that Enable the Subsea Factory

Mads Hjelmeland
Vice President, Processing Systems, OneSubsea

The subsea factory symbolizes a complete production and processing system on the seabed. Processing equipment which traditionally is located on a topside facility is moved to the seafloor, reducing cost and carbon footprint related to large manned platforms. Subsea processing is also increasing recovery and production, as well as prolonging the profitable step-out distances from host to wells. Mads Hjelmeland will describe conceptual subsea factory solutions, including all main processing technologies. Economic, environmental and technical risk factors will also be addressed.
