Operations & Engineering Manager, Subsea 7 Canada
Brian Rogers is responsible for the development and management of a multi-discipline project delivery team with expertise in subsea construction, structural design, engineering analysis, planning, procurement and R&D. Prior to his current role, he worked as project engineer, deputy discipline manager, facilities engineer and engineering manager in the areas of mining and mineral processing, technology development and subsea engineering/construction.
Prior to joining Subsea7, Rogers worked in the mining sector with Hatch, completing numerous projects in northern Ontario, Quebec and Labrador for clients, including Inco (Vale), Falconbridge (Xstrata) and Agrium. Additionally, he worked with Suncor Energy as facilities & technology engineer, responsible for the development and execution of the east coast R&D strategy.
Rogers has presented at a number of industry functions and conferences, most recently at the 2015 Noia Oil & Gas conference, the North American Arctic Oil & Gas Conference in St. John’s in March 2014, the Intsok Alaska Arctic Conference in September 2012 and Noia Fall Seminars in November 2012 and 2013.
Brian Rogers is a registered professional engineer, holds a Bachelor of Engineering (mechanical) from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has completed the Engineering Management Development Program at Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University, U.K.
