David Campbell has more than 25 years’ experience as a consultant working with industry, not-for-profit organizations and governments across Canada. From 2015 to 2017, David was chief economist with the Government of New Brunswick. In that role, he led the development of economic policy and economic development strategy for the provincial government and authored the New Brunswick Economic Growth Plan.
For more than a decade David has been working with governments and industry across Atlantic Canada on the development of the energy sector with a focus on business case development, economic impact, supply chain analysis and public engagement. His client list includes Emera, NB Power, Siemens, Noia, Irving Oil, the Atlantica Centre for Energy and the Government of New Brunswick, among others.
David has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has completed additional education from Harvard University and the University of Waterloo. He is a published author, long time columnist with the Telegraph-Journal in New Brunswick and writes an online blog called It’s the Economy, Stupid. David is the chair of the board of the New Brunswick Energy Solutions Corporation, a joint venture between NB Power and the Government of New Brunswick mandated to explore export development opportunities for the province’s energy sector.
