Senior Project Director, Kvaerner
Lars Eide has close to 30 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry. He started working in Aker Oil and Gas after earning his master’s degree in marine engineering at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU). Lars worked, as a young engineer, on a number of fixed and floater oil & gas projects for the North and Norwegian seas. He later gained experience from both corporate and project management positions in Aker.
For most of his professional career to date, Lars has alternated between president and project director roles for large EPC projects, including president at the Kvaerner Egersund yard from 2004 to 2006, project director for Gjøa Semi EPCH (Statoil/Equinor) from 2006 to 2009, president at the Kvaerner Stord yard from 2009 to 2013, executive vice president for the North Sea business area in Kvaerner from 2011 to 2013 and project director for Nyhamna Gas Plant Expansion EPCI project (Shell) from 2014 to 2018.
