Mark Cumby

Regional Director, Energy, Eastern North America, Hatch Ltd.

A native Newfoundlander, Mark Cumby graduated from Memorial University in mechanical engineering in 1993. Like many young engineers, he started his career in Alberta, and since then, has had the opportunity to work on multiple energy projects in Canada, the United States, the North Sea, Africa and Australia.

He is recognized by his colleagues and clients for his effective problem-solving skills and business acumen.

In 2012, Mark got the calling to come home when he had the opportunity to work on the Hebron Project.  After completing four years on the project, Mark brought all his experience and market knowledge to Hatch Ltd., and has continued to successfully lead the oil & gas business development effort in St. John’s.

Mark is a professional engineer and practicing member of PEGNL. He is actively involved in the community and in mentoring young engineers and students, as well as diversity and inclusion at the regional leadership level with Hatch.  He also serves on three Noia sub-committees – diversity & inclusion, conference technical sessions and the co-sponsored NATI digital transformation working group.

Mark Cumby will speak during conference Session Six on June 20.
