Ottar Kristian Alme
When the CEO of Kvaerner, Norway’s number one oil & gas EPC service provider, decided to up its focus on digitalisation, it was important to the CEO and the company’s Board of Directors that it not become “another IT project.”
The task of heading up the company’s digitalisation program was therefore awarded to project director Ottar Alme. From heading up concrete substructure projects (GBS) and various topside initiatives – and having felt the realities of delivering complex EPC projects – the ambition became “to transform Kvaerner into the world’s most innovative and effective EPC company by utilising the vast array of possibilities that digitalisation reveals.”
Prior to Kvaerner, Mr. Alme worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture, headed up successful start-ups, performed turn-around operations on insolvent companies and is a former “Marinejeger,” Norway’s sister organization to the U.S. Navy SEALs.
