Richard Pratt has 30 years of experience in both onshore and offshore areas of the oil & gas industry. Prior to moving to St. John’s in 2013, he worked in several locations around the world, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Pratt spent 22 years with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, where he held progressively responsible roles in engineering and management. He joined Hess Corporation in 2005, where he held various vice president positions in developments and pre-developments. His most recent position was vice president of the Tubular Bells deepwater development, where he was responsible for the Hess-operated development in the Gulf of Mexico.
Pratt is a 30-year member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in petroleum engineering.
