Scott Tessier has served in his current role since February 2013.
Before assuming his current role, Tessier was the senior advisor for legislative and regulatory affairs with Chevron Canada in Calgary, Alberta. Previously, he held senior positions in Ottawa with several federal government departments that provide regulatory oversight, including six years as chief of staff to three ministers in the fisheries and oceans and health portfolios. Early in his career, Tessier worked with the St. John’s Harbour Atlantic Coastal Action Program and the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment.
Scott Tessier was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, and holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland.
