Senior Manager – Atlantic Canada Region, CNOOC International
Todd Hartlaub joined CNOOC in 1999 and currently leads the Atlantic Canada business based in St. John’s. In this role he is responsible for ensuring the safe, responsible management of all exploration operations and the future development within the Atlantic Canada region. Prior to relocating to St. John’s, Todd led a multidisciplinary team in Calgary responsible for all aspects of CNOOC International’s Aurora LNG Pipeline Project.
Todd has 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry and has held several roles with increasing responsibility within CNOOC International, working in Canada, the United Kingdom, Yemen, Nigeria and Australia in a broad range of engineering, business and management functions.
He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Diploma in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, U.K. He is a professional engineer and an active member of APEGA in Alberta and PEGNL in Newfoundland and Labrador. Todd currently sits on the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers National Policy and Regulatory Impact Priority Steering Group and is a member of the Atlantic Canada Offshore Policy Group.
